I like a good steak as much as anyone, and especially with some potatoes and steamed veggies. But there are things in this life we need to know... and to me nothing is more important than kindness to animals. I regularly speak with animals, though not in a ridiculous kind of way. I might pass a dog, and say "hello doggie" and just pas on through.. even if its just a dog sitting outside a store waiting for its owner. Every morning i say hello to the cats the roam around where i live, and once i put out a plate of tuna for them. When birds chirp on sunday mornings at crap AM i have been known to open my window and ask them to quiet down. I smile whenever i see a sheep, and have been known to pet them and speak with them as well.
I love animals, and all this might seem odd to you. But i feel an empathic link with most animals, and couldn't dream of hurting anything bigger than a mosquito. I even take care to walk around slugs and snails on rainy days...
So when i came across this move, with a teaser like "Things you need to know about our animals" and "Humans are to animals, what the Nazies were to the jews" i had to watch it. Ill admit, i had to pause it from time to time, and shield my eyes from the horror... but i watched it until the end. So.. without further ranting... this movie gives you an insight into 5 of those things you need to know about animals... 1) our pets, 2) meat, 3) Clothing, 4) Entertainment, and 5) Science.
You wont enjoy.. but you NEED to watch this if you care.
